Selection Sunday - Men's NCAA Basketball Tournament Challenge

Students, staff, and faculty can participate in the 2024 Men’s NCAA Basketball Tournament Challenge!

How to Participate

1. Visit the ESPN Men's Tournament Challenge website and click the Create A Bracket button.
2. Login/sign up for a free account using your Hawkeye email.
3. Once logged in select "Join Group"
4. Search Groups for "HCC Students" or "HCC Employee".
5. The group password is "HCC Students" for the "HCC Students" group; "HCC Employee" for the "HCC Employees/Alumni" group.
6. Update your bracket name to your first and last name in your bracket settings.

You can to login/create an account and join the student or employee group any time before or on Selection Sunday (March 17).You will get a reminder email when the brackets are live if you created an account and joined the student or staff and faculty groups beforehand!

Brackets will be available to fill out between March 17 and 21. During this time login to your ESPN account and make your game selections. On March 21 brackets will lock and no changes will be able to be made through the remainder of the tournament.

The tournament will be played through April 8. Brackets will lock when the first game starts and will automatically be scored and updated after each game. The tie breaker is the championship game score.
