Jay Nardini Elected Chair of Association of Community College Trustees Board of Directors Executive Committee

WATERLOO–Hawkeye Community College Board of Trustees Chair Jay Nardini was elected chair of the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT) Board of Directors Executive Committee during the ACCT Leadership Congress held October 10-12 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
He is only the third trustee from an Iowa community college to hold the position.
ACCT is a non-profit educational organization of governing boards representing over 6,500 elected and appointed trustees who govern over 1,200 community, technical, and junior colleges in the United States and beyond.
Nardini is currently serving his second elected term on the ACCT Board’s Executive Committee. He previously served as chair-elect, vice chair, treasurer, and secretary. He is also serving his second term as the director for the ACCT Central Region, covering Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, and Ontario, Canada.
Nardini has been on the Hawkeye Community College Board of Trustees since 2011 and previously served as chair of Community Colleges for Iowa (formerly Iowa Association of Community College Trustees).
